FLIGHT CREW EXAMINATION

As a Pilot, you need to have strong theoretical knowledge covering a range of subjects such as Air Regulations, Air Meteorology, Air Navigation, Technical knowledge, etc. The passing percentage for DGCA exams is 70% and you will truly have to dedicate a lot of time to these exams.

The (DGCA) conducts examinations for the issue of Flight Crew Licenses, in accordance with Rule 38 & Schedule II of Aircraft Rules 1937. The Central Examination Organisation(CEO) of DGCA, located at R. K. Puram, New Delhi, India is responsible for conducting these examinations in accordance with CAR Section-7. These exams are generally conducted online, at the designated centers.

The applicants / candidates are required to interact with this portal (PARIKSHA DGCA) for Registration, Profile update, Allotment of Computer Number/ Roll Number, printing Admit cards etc.

RADIO TELEPHONY RESTRICTED(AEROPLANES)

RTR (A) is conducted by the Wireless Planning & Coordination Wing (WPC) of India for the award of Certificate of Proficiency and License to operate in the Aero mobile service.

The examination takes place in two parts;

Part 1: Regulations & Procedures practical test & Part 2: Oral Examination/ VIVA

To be eligible to obtain a Flight Radio Telephone Operator’s License (FRTOL), RTR exam needs to be cleared. More information on issuance of FRTOL is given here.
