After completion of DGCA Exams, RTR, and your Flight Training, it’s time to apply for the issuance of your Commercial Pilot License!
Pre-Requisites & Procedure
The applicant of a Commercial Pilot License:
- Should be 18 years old or more on the day of application.
- Should have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics, from a recognised Board/University.
- Must have valid Class l medical assessment (Indian).
- Must have passed written examinations conducted by CEO, Engines and Signals (practical) examination for interpretation of aural and visual signals, as per the syllabus prescribed by the Director-General.
- Must have valid FRTOL or FRTOL(R) and RTR(A).
- Should produce evidence of having satisfactorily completed as a pilot of an aeroplane on the date of application for licence not less than two hundred hours of flight time as mentioned in Section J, Schedule II of The Aircraft Rules 1937 in case of CPL and Section K in case of CPL with Instrument Rating.
- Must fill e-Log book for requisite flying experience.
- Must have a valid English Language Proficiency of at least Level 4 (Received by clearing ELP examination in India from DGCA approved ELP organisation).
LICENSE CONVERSION
To convert your foreign CPL to DGCA CPL, follow the steps given in the User Manual. The requirements are listed in Civil Aviation Requirements Series “G” Part I.
